Warehouse Maintenance Tech – Apopka
What You’ll Do
As a Warehouse Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our distribution center by maintaining equipment, facilities, and systems to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and assist in minimizing downtime while supporting safety, quality, and food safety standards.
In This Role You’ll
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) activities on warehouse equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns to minimize operational disruptions.
- Support maintenance planning and scheduling activities to ensure timely completion of assigned work orders.
- Ensure safety, quality, and food safety concerns related to equipment or facility conditions are addressed quickly and appropriately.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and documentation.
- Participate in operational reviews and communicate equipment status, repair needs, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Utilize problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve recurring issues.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance work areas and throughout the facility.
- Assist with vendor coordination and contractor oversight when required.
- Follow all company, OSHA, food safety, and regulatory compliance requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to communicate maintenance needs and escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations teams.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking systems and work order management.
- Forklift, pallet jack, conveyor, refrigeration, or facility maintenance experience is a plus.
Schedule & Setting
- Full-time, on-site position in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment (dry, cooler, and freezer areas ranging from -5°F to 38°F).
- Primarily a 5-day work week; schedule may vary based on operational needs.
- Weekend, overtime, and holiday availability may be required.
- Physically active role requiring standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
