Deli Production Worker

H-E-B is seeking motivated individuals to join as Deli Production Workers, supporting the creation and delivery of high-quality, fresh products for customers. This role is key in maintaining excellence in product preparation and presentation while contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Deli Production Worker, you will help prepare, package, and present food items while ensuring adherence to quality and sanitation standards. You will support daily operations, enhance customer experience, and help maintain inventory across multiple departments.

• Follow daily production routines to blend, form, bake, wrap, and manage inventory.
• Conduct quality control evaluations before products are available for sale.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department and production areas.
• Manage inventory in back-of-house areas, freezers, refrigerated walk-ins, and production zones.
• Adhere to production lists and accurately complete transfer records.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to questions and managing phone orders.
• Monitor product quality and reduce shrink to minimize losses.
• Receive, organize, and stock supplies and merchandise as needed.
• Ensure shelves are full, well-organized, and visually appealing through proper product preparation and pricing.
• Organize product demonstrations or customer trials for self-service areas.
• Apply suggestive selling techniques to drive sales and improve the customer experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience in commercial food production or related fields is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying schedules as needed.
• Experience in baking and food preparation is advantageous.
