Schedule

This is a 3 - 4 x 11 rotating shift working alternating Wednesdays.

Shifts Available:

Wed - Sat 1st shift (5 am - 4:30pm)

Purpose

This role is part of Advanced Manufacturing Operations, which encompasses Metrology, Machining, Anodizing, Assembly, and the Cleaning Line. The support technician will assist in day-to-day operations within a fast-paced production environment and contribute to a variety of manufacturing and facilities-related tasks.

Responsibilities may include assisting with CNC machining operations, basic disassembly and assembly work, part cleaning, hand trimming, and deburring of components post-machining. They may also operate small machinery, move and pack materials, and perform minor preventative maintenance while maintaining a clean and safe work area. This is a hands-on, entry-level position that requires attention to detail and a willingness to learn on the job.

The individual will work closely with experienced technicians and receive 1:1 mentorship across multiple disciplines including machining, anodizing, and facility operations. Candidates should be motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow within a dynamic and collaborative team. The Role

Supporting machinists and technicians with part preparation, loading/unloading, racking, and material movement

Performing post-machining tasks such as deburring, hand trimming, polishing, and part cleaning

Assisting with shop floor logistics including moving parts between work centers and supporting shipping/receiving needs

Conducting light mechanical assembly and basic machine maintenance tasks (coolant checks, chip removal, etc.)

Operating hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and shop equipment (e.g., band saws, drill presses)

Reading and following work instructions and documentation

Contributing to shop organization, cleanliness, and safety by following FOD and 6S standards

Assisting with preventive maintenance and general facility upkeep as needed

Sufficient shop-mathematical-ability to take measurements, cut required dimensions, etc. Strong "hands on" ability required.

Perform other tasks as directed by Supervision/Management including but not limited to assisting non-production plant and administrative tasks.

Basic Qualifications

Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively in team environments with diverse personalities

Basic knowledge of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges

Familiar with personal computers and basic software applications

Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physically able to work in confined areas and lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted

Able to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks

Knowledge of basic carpentry, hand tools, and electric power tools

Demonstrates safe working habits and adherence to safety protocols

Ability to follow instructions and take initiative when needed

Able to lead or support as appropriate to the task or situation

High school diploma or equivalent (completed or in progress)

Ability to earn trust, maintain professionalism, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Ability to adapt to change (positive or negative).

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, specifications, manuals, and safety regulations

Proficient in mid-level math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals)

Experience with pencil, orbital, and angle grinders

Experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility preferred

Work Environment

This is a hands-on position that will require standing for long durations of your day and working directly with hardware on the floor.

Must be comfortable stooping, bending, and standing.

Position may require occasional long hours or weekend work.
