Quality Inspector
Key Responsibilities
Build the Foundation
- Support the development and setup of the quality laboratory for production and customer-part validation.
- Assist in the selection, implementation, and validation of testing equipment and inspection procedures for new products.
- Integrate new quality equipment and continuously improve laboratory processes to meet operational and customer requirements.
- Help establish quality standards, inspection methods, and best practices to support production readiness.
Quality Inspection
- Perform detailed inspections to verify products meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Accurately document measurement results and inspection findings.
- Support production teams in identifying, analyzing, and resolving quality deviations.
- Participate in corrective and preventive action activities to improve product quality and process performance.
Quality & Laboratory Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational quality control activities within the laboratory.
- Ensure the quality lab is fully prepared to support production requirements, including:
- CMM programming and operation (Zeiss, Hexagon, or similar systems)
- Availability and readiness of gauges and measurement equipment
- Preparation and validation of fixtures through Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Conduct capability studies, including Cmk and Cpk analysis, to evaluate process performance.
- Perform full PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) measurements and documentation.
- Manage periodic gauge inspections and ensure all measurement devices remain available and compliant.
- Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair activities for inspection equipment and measurement systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
