Starting Pay: $15.00+/Hour

Immediate Hiring – Opportunity for Full-Time Hours!

From The Heart Home Care is looking for an experienced, dependable PRN Float Caregiver to support clients throughout the Columbia region. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, has flexible availability, and can step in when clients need care the most.

While this is a PRN (as-needed) position, there is excellent potential for full-time hours as additional cases become available.

• Lexington
• Kershaw
• Lugoff
• Camden
• Elgin
• Blythewood
• Surrounding Columbia-area communities

What You'll Do

As a PRN Float Caregiver, you'll provide coverage for caregiver call-outs, vacations, emergency staffing needs, and open shifts.

Responsibilities may include:

• Personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene)
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Wheelchair assistance
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Medication reminders
• Transportation to appointments and errands
• Companionship and supervision
• Fall prevention and safety monitoring
• Providing care for a variety of client needs, including total care cases

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience REQUIRED
• Experience providing total care REQUIRED
• Experience with transfers, gait belts, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts preferred
• Comfortable accepting last-minute and emergency assignments
• Flexible schedule and willingness to travel throughout the Columbia service area
• Must be dependable and reliable (attendance is critical)
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable
• Strong communication skills
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle (REQUIRED – Uber/Lyft and ride-share services are not accepted)
• Must be willing to transport clients when needed
• MUST BE A SOUTH CAROLINA RESIDENT
• Ability to pass a background check

Compensation

• Starting pay begins at $15.00/hour
• Pay may increase based on client needs, level of care required, travel distance, and assignment complexity.
