Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dentist role based in Monroe, NC. The Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and delivery of restorative, preventive, and basic surgical treatments. Daily responsibilities include performing routine check-ups and cleanings, restoring teeth, managing periodontal conditions, and evaluating radiographs and other diagnostic tests. The Dentist will educate patients on oral hygiene, discuss treatment options, obtain informed consent, and maintain accurate clinical records. The role also involves collaborating with dental assistants, hygienists, and front office team members to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-focused care, adhering to all infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
- Active, unrestricted North Carolina dental license (or eligibility to obtain) and current DEA registration.
- Proficiency in core clinical dentistry, including examinations, restorative procedures, preventive care, and basic oral surgery.
- Strong diagnostic and treatment planning abilities, including interpretation of radiographs and other diagnostic tools.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient education, and clear, empathetic communication with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary dental team and support an efficient, respectful workplace.
- Attention to detail in charting, documentation, and adherence to infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education, adopt new technologies, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Experience in a general dentistry practice setting is preferred; additional training in pediatric, cosmetic, or prosthodontic procedures is a plus.
