OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking two motivated Lab Assistants / Technicians to join a well-known client’s diagnostics team in Tucson, AZ. These roles will support laboratory operations through equipment maintenance and diagnostic processes, contributing to high quality laboratory performance.
- Position 1: Focus on maintaining and servicing diagnostic laboratory equipment
- Position 2: Focus on slide scanning operations and maintaining imaging/scanning equipment
These positions are ideal for candidates with strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Laboratory Support
- Assist with laboratory experiments and research activities.
- Prepare laboratory materials and samples for testing and analysis.
- Support data collection, entry, and documentation processes.
Equipment & Operations
- Maintain, service, and troubleshoot diagnostic laboratory equipment.
- Perform slide scanning and ensure proper functioning of imaging and scanning systems (Position 2).
- Ensure laboratory equipment is operating efficiently and meets quality standards.
Compliance & Quality
- Follow and support compliance with laboratory safety guidelines and quality standards.
- Maintain organized records and documentation to support operational requirements.
Inventory & Organization
- Manage and maintain lab inventory, supplies, and equipment readiness.
- Support overall lab organization and operational efficiency.
EXPERIENCE
- 0–5 years of relevant experience in a laboratory, technical, or customer-facing environment.
- Experience with laboratory or diagnostic equipment maintenance preferred.
- Experience working in research or diagnostic labs is a plus.
- Strong customer service background (e.g., retail, banking, hospitality) highly valued.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant certifications or coursework in life sciences or technical fields preferred.

- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptability in a fast paced laboratory environment.
