Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Surgical Technologist with Level I Trauma and neurosurgery experience for a 13-week hospital OR assignment in Ohio.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of OR Surgical Tech experience required
• Level I Trauma and neurosurgery experience required
• BLS certification required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Responsibilities

• Hospital OR setting at a Level I Trauma academic medical center
• Specialties include neurosurgery, spine, complex ortho/ortho spine, and complex general surgery including bariatric procedures
• Preferred exposure to ENT, GU, plastics, and burns
• Variable shift position with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts starting and ending anytime between 6:30 AM and 11:30 PM
• Weekday and weekend shifts required, with holiday coverage as needed
• On-call required: weekdays 9:00 PM–6:30 AM, weekends 6:30 AM–7:00 PM or 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• 36–40 hours per week
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
• RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration and built into the contract, with a limit of 7 days or fewer
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position; candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to a fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
• Parking is available on-site through CampusParc with multiple permit options at the candidate's expense
