Sales Attendant

Job Description:

A retail company is in search of a part-time Sales Attendant with a starting pay of $12.50 hourly

Position Overview:

The mission of the Retail Sales Associate at The Coca-Cola Store, located within World of Coca-Cola in Downtown Atlanta, is to drive revenue through expert merchandise selling skills and exceptional guest service.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Support in creating a pleasant visual appeal by maintaining a tidy and organized sales floor.
• Provide a gracious greeting to shoppers, suggest different ways to make purchases, and exhibit proficiency in the products and the brand.
• Assist in the bi-annual inventory testing procedures.
• Keep up-to-date on new products, pricing changes, and promotional offers.
• Securely and effectively manage financial transactions and purchasing activities through a sophisticated POS technology.
• Delight customers by displaying enticing promotions and discount opportunities for products.
• Implement cross-selling strategies to upsell customers on products that meet their needs in better, newer or more innovative ways.
• Assist customers in successfully returning or exchanging products, making the process as stress-free as possible.
• Firmly adhere to timely attendance and punctuality expectations.
• Attend to further responsibilities as required.

Education/Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent enhances your chances of getting hired and of earning higher wages throughout your career.
• No experience required.

Communication Skills:

• The dexterity to read, write and interpret guiding manuals and instructions.
• In the business world, effective communication with customers, peers, and superiors is a critical skill that can make the difference between success and failure.
• Refreshing one's knowledge in the handling of a two-way radio with emphasis on maintaining radio decorum.

Reasoning Ability:

• Able to manage responsibilities with minimal guidance.

Physical Demands:

• Continuous activity, speech, listening, outreach, and the act of standing.
• Possessing the expertise to maintain a standing posture for two hours without interruption.
• Support an object that is 10 pounds or heavier.
• Being able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or ascend ladders occasionally is a must.
• The capability to perceive objects with precision within a short distance, distinguish between different hues, estimate distances correctly, and adjust focus are all elements of visual skills.
