Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Licensed Yoga Instructor role based in North Plains, OR. The instructor will plan and lead yoga classes for participants of varying ages, abilities, and experience levels, ensuring safe alignment, accessible modifications, and clear cuing. Responsibilities include preparing class sequences, setting up the studio space, greeting participants, and creating a calm, inclusive environment. The instructor will demonstrate poses, guide breathwork and relaxation techniques, and monitor participants for proper form and safety. Additional duties include maintaining attendance records, providing basic post-class feedback, helping keep the studio clean and organized, and collaborating with staff on schedules, special events, and member engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Current yoga instructor certification (e.g., RYT 200 or equivalent) and up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Proven experience teaching group yoga classes, with skill in offering modifications and progressions for diverse abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of yoga techniques, alignment principles, basic anatomy, and safe movement practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster an inclusive, respectful class environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage part-time, on-site hours in North Plains, OR, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to handle light physical tasks such as demonstrating poses and setting up or moving mats and props.
  • Commitment to professional conduct, ongoing learning, and adherence to studio policies and health and safety guidelines.
