Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and prepare food in accordance with current menus.
- Ensure the kitchen staff is prepared and ready for service and that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.
- Know and comply consistently with the restaurant's standard portion sizes, serving methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
- Teach, mentor, and motivate the kitchen staff to uphold and exceed the highest standards of communication, quality, consistency, and execution.
- Accountable for maintenance of all kitchen equipment and facilities.
- Manage and maintain food inventory at an appropriate level.
- Ensure quality, speed, accuracy and presentation of finished dishes during service.
- Work collaboratively with all team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Contribute to a positive work environment that encourages teamwork.
- Maintain clean and orderly working conditions on all cooks’ stations.

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma preferred
- Must be available to work mornings, afternoon, and evening shifts
- 2 years of experience as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant
- Must be able to follow instructions and not deviate from recipes
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Must be able to maintain professionalism under pressure

California Food Handler's Card
Work Environment
This job mainly operates on-site during restaurant hours, with occasional travel required to attend meetings and events, or to fulfill other duties as needed.
