Bakery Delivery Driver

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism. You will start at 3am to load your truck at the bakery and then can expect to be on the road until 12pm making the scheduled deliveries for that day. Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload items using pallet jacks and other equipment as necessary.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.

Skills

• Experience as a van driver or in route driving is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of packages as required.
• Proficient in using pallet jacks and other loading equipment.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $650.00 - $700.00 per week

Experience:

• Van driver: 1 year (Required)
• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Required)
• Time management: 1 year (Preferred)

• Houston, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
