Warehouse Clerk (Operations)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Clerk to support daily warehouse operations, fulfillment activities, and documentation processes. This role requires strong administrative and computer skills while working closely with warehouse personnel to ensure the accurate and timely processing of shipments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in both an office and light warehouse operations in Warehouse environment assisting with fulfillment, WMS transactions, reporting, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Process inbound and outbound shipment documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare, distribute, and audit daily pick orders.
- Create shipment pouches, pallet labels, and outbound documentation for next-day shipments.
- Print and apply pallet labels in accordance with customer and company compliance requirements.
- Perform WMS transactions, including driver check-in/check-out and trailer out-gating.
- Audit shipment documentation, bond information, and freight details prior to shipment loading.
- Enter shipment dimensions and operational data into internal reporting systems for customer visibility.
- Send timely email notifications for inbound container arrivals and outbound trailer departures, including Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and organize operational documents for reporting and audit purposes.
- Coordinate daily with warehouse personnel, operations, and supervisor/ leads to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Support continuous process improvements and cross-training within warehouse fulfillment operations.
- Assist with light warehouse activities as needed, including pallet verification, labeling, staging support, and light forklift operation (training/certification provided).
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of clerical, warehouse administrative, or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience in a warehouse, distribution, freight forwarding, or transportation environment is highly preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, data entry, and WMS experience (CargoWise experience is a plus).
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage a high volume of emails.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with warehouse and operations teams.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- English proficiency is required; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Willingness to become forklift certified.
Compensation
Entry-to-mid-level position with a target pay range of $18–$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $20.00
