We are seeking an energetic and passionate High School Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in various scientific disciplines. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop engaging lesson plans, utilize cutting-edge learning technology, and mentor students in their scientific pursuits. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for science, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to student success.
- Design and deliver compelling lessons across multiple science subjects including biology, chemistry, and earth sciences.
- Develop curriculum materials that incorporate current scientific research and innovative instructional strategies.
- Facilitate laboratory experiments, dissections, and hands-on activities to enhance experiential learning.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, projects, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to inquiry and discovery.
- Integrate learning technology tools to support diverse learning styles and improve engagement.
- Offer academic advising, mentorship, and support tailored to individual student needs.
- Strong knowledge of scientific disciplines such as biology, chemistry, forensics, and earth sciences.
- Experience with curriculum development, instructional design, and lesson planning.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, research methods, dissection procedures, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively to students of varied backgrounds.
- Skilled in using learning technology platforms for instruction and assessment purposes.
- Experience working with students in diverse settings, including urban schools or special education environments.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
