Your Impact

The Assistant Project Manager – Procurement Operations supports the successful execution of utility-scale and C I renewable energy repower projects by coordinating procurement activities, managing project documentation, tracking schedules, and assisting with operational planning. This position works closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Field Operations, and vendors to ensure materials, equipment, and project deliverables are available on time and within budget. This is an individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities

Support Project Managers in planning and executing renewable energy repower projects.

Coordinate procurement of project materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.

Create and track purchase requisitions and purchase orders.

Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and material availability.

Coordinate logistics, shipping, receiving, and site deliveries.

Maintain procurement logs, equipment inventories, and material tracking reports.

Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules.

Track project budgets, commitments, and procurement costs.

Coordinate with Engineering to ensure material specifications and revisions are current.

Prepare project status reports and meeting minutes.

Maintain project documentation in company management systems.

Assist with change orders, RFIs, submittals, and document control.

Coordinate with field teams to resolve material shortages and procurement issues.

Support project closeout by ensuring documentation, warranties, and final deliverables are complete.

Promote compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Core Experience (Utility-Scale Required)

Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

2–5 years of experience supporting construction, renewable energy, procurement, or project management.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Experience with ERP, procurement, or project management software is preferred.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, or renewable energy repower projects.

Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management.

Experience with Procore, Salesforce, Microsoft Project, or similar project management platforms.

Knowledge of construction contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change management.

Occasional travel to project sites (up to 20%).

This position is primarily office-based with periodic travel to renewable energy project sites. The role supports utility-scale and commercial solar repower projects in collaboration with engineering, operations, procurement, and field personnel.
