Minimum Requirements

  • NYS Teaching Certification in Elementary Education

Position Summary / Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that adheres to state curriculum and standards using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and evidence-based interventions as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress and potential areas for improvement.
  • Stay current with best practices and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor students and adjust instructional strategies and methods to ensure that achievement expectations are met.
  • Complete student report cards.
  • Access appropriate resources and conduct research as needed to support Next Generation ELA Standards.
  • Focus on use of data-driven instruction and assessment analysis used to plan and facilitate building and district level PLCs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • All teachers who are new to Greece will be required to attend two teacher induction days in August.
  • All teachers will be required to work one Teacher day in the month of August per school calendar.
