General Laborer – Concrete

Our client is looking for a general laborer to work on the shop floor. This is a very physical, dusty and high attention to detail position. Located on the se side of Des Moines.

Starting Pay: $20.00 – $22.00/Hour

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm (Finish) (Monday-Friday, frequent Saturdays)One hour lunch

Duties:

• Complete tasks related to panel production
• Clean and maintains production bed (concrete).
• Install rebar and strand.
• Pour and finishes concrete.
• Strip out panels after completion.
• Patch and repair panels as needed.
• Maintain and improve housekeeping to ensure a safe and productive workplace on an hour by hour, day by day basis.
• Complete daily preventive maintenance tasks as assigned, including tool maintenance.
• Responsible for tools and machinery in your area.
• Notify appropriate personnel of issues requiring maintenance work orders to be issued.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Steel toed work boot with metatarsal top.
• Ability to step, climb stairs, reach, stoop, push, pull, squat
• .Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines.Identify, understand, & report safety hazards, poor behavior and unsafe actions immediately.
• Report ALL accidents to the Plant Manager immediately and completes an incident report.
• Daily 5S compliance.
