This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

The Social Worker serves as a Program Coordinator within the General Mental Health program located at the VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) Brockton Campus, a highly complex Level 1A facility. The General Mental Health, (GMH) program encompasses outpatient mental health (MH) clinics of considerable scope and complexity. GMH clinics deliver a broad array of both general and specialized professional service s that are important components of Mental Health Service at VABHS and significantly impact the health and well-being of Veterans.
This GS-13 Social Work (SW) Program Coordinator is in a leadership position, works independently, and must possess broad clinical, administrative and supervisory knowledge, skills and abilities. The SW Program Coordinator leads a large multidisciplinary team of clinical providers at a designated VABHS site in the provision of high quality, veteran-centered, evidence-based mental health care with the goal of reducing the patients symptoms and improving the patients functioning and quality of life.
