We are seeking a salaried employee who is a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide comprehensive in-home care for children with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will offer personalized support, ensure safety, comfort, and well-being while fostering independence. This role involves working closely with clients to assist with daily activities, medication management, and emotional support in a home setting. The Live-In Caregiver will be an integral part of creating a nurturing environment tailored to each resident’s unique care plan.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes to healthcare professionals
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations
  • Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
  • Support residents with behavioral concerns and physical limitations through specialized techniques
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
  • Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Ensure compliance with privacy standards such as HIPAA during all caregiving activities

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in home health, group home, foster home environments preferred
  • APD knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of Children, Autism, ADHD, Developmental delays care is advantageous
  • Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus
  • Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and documenting changes in condition
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a live-in setting while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of care plans, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and HIPAA compliance
