Work Schedule and Training
Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM. Schedule is subject to change based on business demand.
First day of orientation: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Day 1: Orientation.
- After Day 1: May work at 6:00 AM for online training.
- First three weeks on shop floor: day shift with paint assistants.
- After training qualification, employee may start normal shift.
ITAR Compliance Requirement
Qualified candidates must be a U.S. person per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15:
- U.S. citizenship.
- U.S. permanent residence (Green Card holder).
- Protected person status.
Essential Functions
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming.
- Mix paints, primers, and other coatings according to specifications.
- Perform tests such as viscosity on mixed paints.
- Print and maintain pot‑life stickers for each paint mixed.
- Maintain and clean painting tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist in moving and arranging materials and equipment.
- Conduct quality checks on painted surfaces.
- Help with inventory management and ordering supplies.
- Ensure proper adhesion of paint and coatings through meticulous surface preparation.
- Perform touch‑ups and repairs as needed.
- Anticipate painters’ needs to support their work in the paint booth.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance on‑site is required.
Required Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial painting environment.
Other Required Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of different types of paints, primers, and coatings used in aerospace.
- Experience with spray painting equipment and techniques.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Employee must be able to:
- Stand and walk regularly; stand for long periods.
- Lift, carry, push/pull up to 100 lb with assistance or equipment.
- Lift overhead and carry/push/pull up to 50 lb.
- Reach overhead and reach out or down.
- Climb steps, stairs, or ladders frequently.
- Bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneel occasionally.
- Use hands/fingers to inspect parts, tighten hardware, operate controls.
- Accurately distinguish colors for sensors and indicators.
- Have visual acuity to interpret gauges and measuring devices.
Work environment: manufacturing warehouse with exposure to moderate to high noise, dust, smoke, fumes, vapors (PPE may be required), extreme temperatures occasionally, and hazardous equipment such as forklifts, hand tools, cranes, or other machine shop tools.
