COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) for PACE Program

Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Salary Range: $23 - $32 per hour; Full-time

Repsonsibilites:

• Responsible for providing skilled occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupation Therapist (OT). The COTA supports participants in maintaining independence, and improving functional abilities
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Provide therapeutic interventions focused on activities of daily living (ADL) functional mobility and transfers and cognitive and perceptual skills.
• Monitor and document participant progress and communicate changes.

Requirements:

• Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• One year of experience with frail elderly population in acute, long term care, or community based setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and PACE regulations (preferred).
