Supporting the Controller and the broader Accounting team in a remote full-time capacity, the Assistant Controller, Government Accounting & Compliance will manage the month-end close process, develop government accounting and reporting processes, and ensure compliance with government audit requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely resolution of issues Lead the development of accounting frameworks for government-funded projects, including cost allocation and compliance processes Partner with stakeholders to prepare for financial audits and ensure adherence to government accounting standards Required Qualifications 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years in government contracting or cost reimbursement environments Strong knowledge of government accounting requirements and audit-ready support for reimbursable spend Experience with DCAA, FAR/CAS concepts, and related compliance frameworks Demonstrated experience in building controls and policies for government compliance Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and accounting operations, including financial reporting oversight
