Key Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or eligibility to obtain
- State licensure or eligibility required
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- IEP experience highly regarded but not essential
- Familiarity with AAC devices a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive communication and swallowing evaluations
- Create and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Adapt therapy to meet ongoing student progress and specific needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and allied health professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the IEP process
