This position is based in our satellite production facility in Midland, TX , with full relocation provided (details below).

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural repair and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality.

Pay: $36-$42 hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities.

What You'll Do:

Perform structural assembly, repair and modifications of Telecommunication Satellites, structures or other structures as required to drawing specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to determine repair and modification requirements.

Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks accurately.

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve processes.

Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

What you bring:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a structural mechanic in aerospace.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.

Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques used in structural repair and maintenance.

Specific skills in riveting, drilling, and fastener installation

Surface Prep for Bonding

Incremental drilling for hold size for

Mechanical Assembly and Torque Specifications

Clear understanding and demonstration of:

Screws

Rivets

Wet Bonding

Laser tracking and Metrology a plus

Knowledge of different types of rivets, including solid rivets, blind rivets, Hi-Lock and Hi-Lite, cherry max rivets, and their installation requirements.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements Work Environment:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Ability to use hands and fingers to perform repetitive and precision tasks

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and crouching

Ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing

Ability to work in, on, around, and in proximity to large structures, equipment, and tooling

Ability to lift, push, and/or carry items up to 50 pounds as required

Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment

Ability to work in and around tight or confined spaces

Hands-on work with flight hardware, test setups, and precision instruments

Availability for extended shifts during launch campaigns

Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or hazardous materials (e.g., carbon fiber)
