Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist Toolmaker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, setting up, and operating CNC machining equipment to produce precision tools, dies, and components essential for manufacturing processes. Your expertise in mechanical blueprint interpretation, CNC programming, and tooling will ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings using GD&T principles to ensure precise machining operations.
  • Program CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines using CAM software and other programming tools like SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Set up and operate CNC machining equipment with accuracy, including grinders, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machines (EDM).
  • Fabricate, modify, and repair tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and precision components to meet manufacturing specifications.
  • Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments to verify part tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members on machining tool setup, fabrication projects, and quality control procedures to uphold safety standards and production deadlines.

Experience

  • Proven shop experience as a CNC Machinist or Toolmaker with a strong background in CNC programming (G-code) and machine setup.
  • Extensive knowledge of machining processes, including milling, turning (CNC lathe), grinding, welding, and fabrication techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for designing tooling or interpreting blueprints.
  • Familiarity with GD&T standards for precise measurement and quality control in manufacturing environments.
  • Mechanical knowledge of Haas Machine is a plus.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges for quality assurance.
  • Toolroom experience involving tool & die fabrication or maintenance is highly desirable.
