Position Details:
- Earn up to $70,000 or more annually.
- Be eligible for a monthly bonus of up to $1600.
- Work Monday to Friday with dispatch times between 5:00am - 6:30am.
Position Purpose:
As a Food and Food Service Delivery Driver, you play a critical role in the food supply chain, ensuring customer products arrive safely and on schedule, while building lasting relationships with clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck for local and cross-country deliveries, adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Inspect your vehicle thoroughly for adherence to safety standards, reporting any issues promptly.
- Follow all company driving guidelines while on the road and ensure the successful handling of freight.
- Verify loads against customer invoices and ensure they are properly secured in the vehicle.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Deliver orders according to a predetermined route and schedule.
- Unload products and transport them to designated customer storage areas.
- Perform damage control checks and report any issues with shipments promptly.
- Confirm delivery with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and transport vehicles.
- Adhere to Federal DOT regulations regarding hours of service and recordkeeping.
- Engage in general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
- 12+ months of experience driving a Tractor/Trailer.
- Valid CDL-A, with a minimum age of 21 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for the last 3 years.
- Successful completion of a road test.
- Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
- Able to lift and move products weighing between 10-90 pounds with appropriate equipment.
