Role Description This is a temporary, on-site Commission Sales Associate role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Commission Sales Associate is responsible for welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and providing styling recommendations that align with the boutique’s aesthetic and standards. Daily tasks include assisting customers on the sales floor, maintaining product displays and visual merchandising, processing transactions at the register, and handling returns or exchanges in a courteous manner. The role also involves monitoring inventory levels on the floor, restocking items, and keeping fitting rooms clean and organized. Commission Sales Associates are expected to meet or exceed individual and store sales goals while delivering a respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable shopping experience to every customer.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and client relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen actively and communicate clearly.
  • Sales and upselling abilities, including confidence in presenting products, closing sales, and working toward sales targets or commissions.
  • Interest in fashion, styling, and current trends, with the ability to make personalized recommendations to diverse customers.
  • Basic point-of-sale and cash-handling skills, including comfort with payment systems, receipts, and transaction accuracy.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness and visual standards.
  • Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods.
  • Previous retail or boutique experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; additional language skills are a plus for serving a diverse customer base.
