About the Role A premier pediatric therapy center located in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join their dedicated team. This is a hands-on, in-person role focused on providing early intervention services to infants and young children with developmental delays and disabilities. You will work collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized treatment plans that enhance motor skills, mobility, and overall physical function. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for infants and children from birth to age three. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and family goals. Provide direct physical therapy interventions to improve gross motor skills, balance, coordination, strength, and mobility. Educate and train parents/caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs. Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals. Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education activities. Advocate for the needs of children and families within the early intervention system. Adapt treatment strategies to various settings, including the clinic, home, and community environments as needed. Requirements Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Current, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Maryland . At least 2 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy, with a strong emphasis on early intervention. Specialized knowledge of child development, motor learning principles, and common pediatric conditions. Experience with standardized assessment tools for infants and young children. Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Must possess strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records. Reliable transportation for potential home visits within the Baltimore region is required.
