Schedule & Location
- Monday – Friday
- 1:00 pm – 10:30 pm
- Stable hours supporting financial security and work-life balance
- Repair / maintenance shop at our Madison, WI hauling site
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts
- Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times
- Assist senior mechanics in the completion of project work
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Be over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodationsSuccessfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Required to exert frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constantly standing, walking, grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing
- Exposure to physical occupational risks such as cuts, burns, chemical exposure, etc. often
- Exposure to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
- Work in both inside garage/shop or gas plant conditions and outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
