Job Description For Environmental Services Housekeeping Aide

We are a intermediate care facility that takes care of children with severe developmental and medical complex needs. We are champions for our residents who collaboratively work to create and maintain the quality of life for our residents by fostering a safe and clean environment. This is a full-time position that is under the direct report of the Environmental Services Manager.

The primary focus and responsibilities of this position are to keep the facility of Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas in good clean condition while ensuring the safety and welfare of PCCA’s residents.

Responsibilities for Environmental Services Aide

• Empty all waste baskets, as assigned
• Sweep and mop floors, as assigned
• Clean and vacuum carpets, as assigned
• Keep bathrooms and restrooms clean, (This includes tubs, tub chairs, showers, shower chairs)
• Maintain soap dispensers, towel dispensers, and lotion dispensers
• Keep break areas clean
• Clean and dust windows and blinds, as assigned
• Clean tables and floors in dining room areas after each meal
• Clean and dust base boards and windowsills, as assigned
• Report any repairs needed to supervisor
• Practice good aseptic techniques and hand washing
• Mop floors
• Sweep floors and empty trash cans in the work area
• Wash and dry laundry and linens
• Organize resident clothing in closets
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Environmental Services Housekeeping Aide

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to accurately and effectively communicate with management and employees both verbally and in writing

Educations and Experiences

High School Diploma or Equivalent

1 year of housekeeping experience preferred

Physical Demands

Must be able to bend, reach, push, stoop, walk, lift, and stand for extended periods of time

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently

Safety Sensitive position.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
