Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN) – 2nd Shift
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Pay: Starting at $50.00/hr
About the Position
Occupational Health Services (OHS) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide onsite occupational health services at a large manufacturing facility in Milwaukee, WI. This position focuses on delivering immediate care for workplace injuries, reducing OSHA recordable injuries, promoting employee wellness, and partnering with management to keep employees healthy, safe, and productive.

Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Midnight)
- Rotating weekend coverage may be required approximately once per month.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Provide first aid and immediate medical care for cuts, lacerations, burns, strains, sprains, eye injuries, and other occupational injuries.
- Perform wound assessments, wound care, dressing changes, and suture/staple follow-up care.
- Evaluate employees to determine the appropriate level of care while helping reduce unnecessary OSHA recordable injuries whenever clinically appropriate.
- Coordinate referrals for outside medical care when necessary.
- Provide return-to-work evaluations and work restriction recommendations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and safety personnel regarding employee care and injury prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and OSHA-related records.
- Perform drug and alcohol testing, hearing tests, respirator fit testing, and other occupational health services as needed.
- Respond quickly to workplace medical emergencies.
- Educate employees on injury prevention, proper wound care, and workplace health.
- Monitor injury trends and provide recommendations to improve safety and reduce workplace injuries.
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred.
- Emergency Room, Urgent Care, Occupational Health, Industrial, Critical Care, or Medical-Surgical experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are highly preferred but not required.
- Occupational Health or Industrial Nursing experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Workers' Compensation.
- Experience with drug and alcohol testing, hearing conservation programs, and respirator fit testing.
