Role: Senior Financial Accountant
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Responsibilities:
Beyond A/P, you’ll lead balance sheet reconciliations, support the monthly close, and partner closely with the CFO to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting. This is a highly visible role for someone who brings sharp accounting judgment, strong attention to detail, and enjoys working across teams to keep financials clean and accurate.
Own revenue, billing, and reconciliation: Manage end-to-end billing across all vendors- including invoicing, payouts, and reconciliation. Ensure revenue is accurate, traceable, and complete. Own the full accounts payable cycle—keeping invoices accurate, payments timely, and the ledger current. Assist with the preparation of consolidated comparative financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.
Run clean, reliable financial operations: Own accounts payable and expense management. Ensure invoices are captured, approved, and paid on time. Build simple, effective processes that provide visibility and eliminate errors. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly, calculate and reconcile monthly accruals. Manage aged A/P and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO), identifying cash flow and process improvements. File, pay, and record all tax obligations accurately and on time across states.
Support month-end close and reporting: Maintain clean, current books and support the monthly close. Partner with the CFO to deliver clear, reliable reporting and investor-ready outputs. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Improve systems and reduce manual work: Identify and implement improvements across accounting. Reduce manual inputs, streamline workflows, and build processes that scale. Recommend enhancements to policies and internal controls.
Operate as a problem-solver: Work through ambiguity, resolve discrepancies, and keep things moving. Lead balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, construction accounting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
