Physical Therapist - Home Health

Home Health Physical Therapist:

Responsible for providing physical therapy services for clients of Origin Home Health Care within the parameters of their educational preparation and their demonstrated abilities.

Skills and Abilities of Physical Therapist, PTA, Home Health Care:

• Minimum of one year working in a health care field preferably home health care or hospice
• Current license in the State of Florida for PT
• Demonstrated ability to document accurately
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be detail oriented, flexible and organized
• Works well in a team environment
• Must demonstrate professional behavior and serves as a role model for other employees.
• Ability to assist patient in learning appropriate self care techniques.
• Completes agency competencies upon hire and annually

Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

• Visit patients in their home to provide care. Patients may be seniors or individuals recovering from an injury
• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing a treatment plan
• Teaching patients how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniques
• Providing stimulation or massage to promote healing
• Assisting patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers
• Maintaining patient records and keeping track of goals and progress
• Advising the patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
