Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and design specifications
- Conduct system diagnostics using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters to identify issues accurately
- Repair and maintain mechanical systems, including plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler components, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably
- Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and building automation system diagrams for precise installation and troubleshooting
- Perform electrical diagnostics and wiring tasks necessary for HVAC/R equipment operation
- Utilize welding skills when necessary to repair or modify ductwork or mechanical components
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and maintaining proper documentation
- Conduct routine property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport equipment or materials between sites
- Assist in the repair of appliances or mechanical systems as needed within the scope of property maintenance
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems installation and repair
- Service technician experience in HVAC/R or related fields is highly desirable
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems is essential
- Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration systems, and boiler maintenance is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in equipment repair, welding, and property maintenance enhances your suitability for this role
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required
- Experience with field service operations involving appliance repair or property upkeep is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment confidently
