What You’ll Do As a Companion Caregiver

As a companion caregiver, your role is to help clients remain safe, comfortable, independent, and connected while living at home.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and engaging conversation
• Light housekeeping such as dishes, laundry, and tidying up
• Preparing simple meals and encouraging hydration
• Running errands and accompanying clients to appointments or shopping
• Medication reminders
• Participating in enjoyable activities like puzzles, crafts, walks, music, or games
• Offering encouragement, emotional support, and a caring presence

What We’re Looking For

• At least 18 years old
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience (personal or professional)
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient personality
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insured vehicle preferred
• CPR & First Aid certification preferred (can obtain after hire)
• Current two-step TB clearance preferred (can obtain after hire)
• Strong communication skills and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and provide exceptional client care
