Operating Room Technician

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule/Hours

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Day shift: 9:00am to 9:30pm
• Specific days are to be finalized during the interview process

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) with certification
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a surgical or operating room setting
• Exceptional knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures across specialties
• Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, high-stress environments
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and supplies for each procedure, ensuring sterility and readiness
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments and sponges throughout procedures
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols and support patient safety initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly
• Restock and clean the operating room post-surgery in preparation for subsequent cases
