Role Description The Office Manager (Medical) is a full-time, on-site role based in Farmington hills, MI.
Legacy Family Care is seeking a highly motivated Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing family medicine and pediatric practice.
The ideal candidate MUST have either:
✅ Medical billing and coding experience
OR
✅ Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance plans, Medicare, HMO/PPO plans, eligibility verification, referrals, prior authorizations, and revenue cycle management.
Responsibilities: note a very small community office . 1 full time and 1 part time physician.
- Oversee day-to-day office operations
- Manage scheduling workflows and patient experience
- Supervise front desk and clinical support staff
- Review billing, claims, denials, and collections
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Understand credentialing and provider enrollment
- Monitor revenue cycle performance and outstanding claims
- Manage office inventory and supplies
- Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Assist with staff training and accountability
- Work closely with physicians to improve practice efficiency and profitability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical office management experience
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance billing processes
- Experience with athenahealth preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
