Estimator / Sales Representative – Residential & Commercial Painting

Position Overview

SLW Painting is seeking a motivated and professional Estimator / Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position combines sales, estimating, project coordination, and business development for both residential and commercial painting projects.

The ideal candidate is personable, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable meeting with homeowners, property managers, general contractors, and commercial clients. Previous painting or construction experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

ResponsibilitiesResidential Sales & Estimating

  • Meet with homeowners to assess painting projects and provide detailed estimates.
  • Follow up with incoming leads and maintain communication throughout the sales process.
  • Build trust with clients and help guide them through project options.
  • Conduct job walkthroughs prior to project start.
  • Perform final walkthroughs with clients upon project completion to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and customer communications.

Commercial Estimating & Bidding

  • Review commercial bid opportunities from various bid boards and plan rooms.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
  • Prepare detailed commercial painting estimates and bid proposals.
  • Coordinate with general contractors and project stakeholders throughout the bidding process.
  • Track bid deadlines and maintain organized bid documentation.

Business Development

  • Develop relationships with General Contractors, Property Managers, Realtors, HOAs, and other referral partners.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking and outreach.
  • Seek and secure organic leads in addition to company-provided leads.
  • Represent the company professionally in the community and at networking events when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Construction, painting, or estimating experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and project specifications is preferred for commercial estimating.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable using computers, email, estimating software, and CRM systems.

Pay: $53,076.70 - $63,920.32 per year
