RN Surgery Circulator

Job Summary/Success in this role looks like:

The primary function of this position is to provide quality individualized care to the surgical patient throughout their lifespan, pre-, peri- and post- operatively.  The Operating Room RN will perform the pre-, peri- and post- operative nursing practice at a level depending on his/her expertise and competency to practice.  These competencies will be identified by using the AORN Competency Statements.  As the nurse gains knowledge and skills they will progress on a continuum to an advanced level of practice. Circulators may be included in on-call rotation.
