Job Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to all guests by following the company's established Steps of Service.
  • Prepare all food and beverages according to established recipes and portion standards.
  • Promote and upsell food and beverage offerings to enhance the guest experience.
  • Accurately process and collect payments for guests seated at the bar.
  • Prepare beverage orders for servers only after they have been entered into the POS system, with the same level of urgency and attention given to bar guests.
  • Set up, maintain, and keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.
  • Operate the POS system accurately and follow all cashiering procedures.
  • Comply with and enforce all applicable local and state liquor laws and company alcohol service policies.
  • Complete all assigned opening, closing, and side work duties.
  • Maintain accountability for the cash bank assigned at the beginning of each shift by signing a bank agreement and assuming responsibility for the assigned funds.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years of bartending and serving experience
  • Able to work afternoon and evening shifts
  • Liquor and wine knowledge preferred
  • Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
  • Craft exceptional cocktails using premium ingredients and precise techniques
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations for wine and cocktail pairings with menu items
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Assist in developing seasonal cocktail menus and drink specials
  • Provide attentive and professional service to all guests
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to create cohesive beverage and food experiences
  • Manage opening and closing procedures for the bar
  • Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
  • Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to follow instructions

Prerequisite for employment:

  • Responsible Beverage Service Certification
  • Valid California ServSafe Food Handler Card

Work Environment

This job mainly operates on-site during restaurant hours, with occasional travel required to attend meetings and events, or to fulfill other duties as needed.
