Job Description
Duties:
- Teach English to high school students according to school and District policies and State standards.
- Develop lessons and assessments incorporating State standards and approved District curriculum.
- Maintain student attendance and academic records.
- Monitor student academic performance, evaluate student learning according to District and State metrics, and provide feedback to improve learning.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Communicate with various stakeholders regarding student academic progress and behavior.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field.
- Valid Arizona Department of Education teacher certification.
- Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
