As a Warehouse Associate at Airgas, you’ll join a supportive environment where you carefully manage essential cylinder inventory and learn to operate specialized equipment. As an Ambassador for Airgas, the Service & Delivery Professional takes pride in the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to our local and regional business partners. Operating from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck, you will manage the flow of cylinders while building lasting relationships with the customers you visit.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Loading and Delivery: Safely load, deliver, and unload gas cylinders and other products onto route trucks and at customer locations.
- Cylinder Handling and Preparation: Manage high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders, including preparing cryogenic vessels for filling. Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
- Inventory and Inspection: Monitor cylinder quantities and styles and assist with inventory management. Physically receive, check, and store delivered materials in the warehouse.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all government and company standards regarding the safe handling of hazardous materials and cylinder gases.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any deficiencies to ensure all safety equipment is in good working order.
- Customer Relations: Maintain positive customer relationships and resolve service inquiries or complaints effectively.
- Facility Upkeep: Ensure the remains warehouse is neat, clean, and orderly.

Are you a MATCH?
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
- Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
- Must have one (1) year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.
- In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years.
- Must be at least 21 years or older
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification
