Quality Inspector

Our client is seeking a Quality Inspector / Quality Specialist to join their cable manufacturing facility on a part-time basis. This contract is set to begin September 1st and last for at least 3 years on an ad hoc basis, with approximately 10 hours of work per week. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and live within 1 hour of Charleston, SC or be willing to relocate at own cost.

The selected consultants shall provide independent inspection and quality assurance services for cable manufacturing activities, including, but not limited to:

• Planning and coordination of inspection activities
• Participation in manufacturing kick-off meetings
• Weekly on-site inspections and documentation reviews
• Monitoring manufacturing progress and quality performance
• Preparation of weekly written reports
• Participation in weekly progress meetings
• Witnessing and verification of:
• Sample Tests
• Routine Tests
• Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
• Load-out operations
• Final inspection support
• Non-conformance follow-up and verification of corrective actions
• Quality advisory support related to manufacturing and testing activities
• Rapid response to production incidents or quality deviations

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in manufacturing quality inspection and quality assurance
• Experience working within industrial manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of inspection and testing processes
• Experience with FATs, quality documentation, non-conformance management, and corrective actions
• Ability to work independently and provide structured reporting to stakeholders
• Certification such as ISO 9001/ISO 140001, ANST, Certified Quality Engineer, Level 3 QA, PCI Level III QC
