This is a remote opportunity offering competitive pay, full benefits, PTO, 401k, and more. If you're looking to apply your DevOps expertise in support of mission-critical federal programs — let's talk!

Position Overview

DSN is seeking a DevOps Engineer II to join a federal government engineering team supporting the delivery and operation of mission-critical software systems. This role is well suited to a candidate with 3-5 years of hands-on DevOps experience who is ready to take on more ownership within a federal engineering environment. Due to the sensitive nature of the program, specific project and mission details are shared with candidates as they progress through the interview process.

Team Structure

This position works closely with a cross-functional engineering team, including full stack developers building applications on Angular (front end) and Java and PHP (back end), with AI-assisted development support. The role also partners closely with manual QA testers to ensure release quality and stability. This is a fully remote position; candidates must be able to work core hours aligned to U.S. Eastern Time.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting Angular, Java, and PHP application deployments

Manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation

Support containerization and orchestration efforts using Docker and Kubernetes

Collaborate with full stack developers and manual QA testers to streamline build, test, and release cycles

Monitor system performance, availability, and security posture across environments
