The Role

You’ll sit within the Data Analytics organization, working at the foundation of everything we build with data. You’ll design and maintain the pipelines, infrastructure, and systems that make clean, reliable data possible so that analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders can trust what they’re looking at. You won’t just move data; you’ll shape how the company accesses it.

This is a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL. In office requirement once every 2 weeks at our office in River North.

Responsibilities

Build, implement, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines that power reliable, timely data delivery across the organization

Ingest, store, process, and analyze large datasets efficiently, ensuring data is always accessible and accurate for downstream consumers

Design and maintain scalable data infrastructure and data models that support efficient storage, retrieval, and transformation

Translate technical and functional requirements into detailed pipeline designs and automation workflows

Prepare raw data into clean, consumable datasets for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Uphold data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, and compliance across all systems you touch

Provide limited on-call after-hours critical support on a rotating schedule with the

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related field

Proficiency in SQL scripting and advanced database concepts, with hands-on experience working with large datasets

Experience with Python for scripting, automation, and data processing workflows

Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks such as Fivetran, and experience with Snowflake for data warehousing

Understanding of cloud computing (AWS) and data security best practices

Understanding of CI/CD practices and experience working in Git

A collaborative attitude and the ability to work across teams to solve complex data challenges

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, paired with a genuine curiosity for how data systems work

The ability to work within a team to foster connectedness

Additional Requirements

Must pass any and all required background checks

Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.

Green Thumb Pay Range

$95,000 $115,000 USD
