Job Description and Responsibilities
This is a full-time, hybrid role as a Special Education Teacher serving a school located in Winchester, NH.
The Special Education Teacher (SPED) will be responsible for providing teaching and case management services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
Job Details
Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
2026-2027 School year, August - May/June.
Hybrid Position
2nd – 8th grades
Job duties: educational services, case management, evaluations
Dual support from the District and TheraPeds
Competitive pay
Guaranteed hours, including documentation, administrative and planning time
$55 – $65+/hour ($2062-$2437/week+)
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
Deliver instruction tailored to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning and support.
Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to improve outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress to inform ongoing instruction and planning.
Create a welcoming, safe, and productive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and learning.
Provide guidance and support to classroom staff in implementing educational strategies for students with special needs.
