Part-Time Specialty Barista (1–3 Years Exp)

The Position Cyber City Cafe is a cyberpunk-themed specialty coffee shop in San Antonio. We are currently structuring our floor operations to manage our walk-in volume and prepare for upcoming drive-thru integration. We are looking for experienced baristas who prefer a straightforward, systems-driven environment where clean workflows and operational consistency are the standard.

The Role This position is for mid-level operators who have their baseline mechanics down and appreciate clear, unambiguous expectations. You will be responsible for executing exact beverage recipes, maintaining station cleanliness under a strict protocol, and adhering to opening and closing procedures.

Operational Expectations

• Technical Consistency: Calibrate espresso variables (grind size, dose, and yield) to hit established recipe profiles every shift. No guessing.
• Station Maintenance: Maintain an immaculate workstation. Keep up with bar back-ups and ensure steam wands and equipment are pristine throughout the day.
• Procedural Execution: Follow opening and closing checklists to the letter. This includes strict adherence to scheduled operating hours and cleaning protocols.
• Customer Interaction: Efficiently guide guests through our signature menu, modifications, and specialty items.

Compensation

• Base Rate: $13.00 – $15.00 / hr (commensurate with technical proficiency).
• Tips: Distributed on top of base pay.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of active experience in a specialty coffee or fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work from established checklists.
