About Impact Life

Impact Life is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through behavioral health, recovery support, and harm reduction services.

We are seeking one Peer Facilitator to deliver Recovery-Friendly Workplace (RFW) education to employers and community organizations throughout New Castle County and other areas of Delaware as needed. This flexible contractor opportunity is ideal for individuals with lived experience who are passionate about recovery advocacy, reducing stigma, and creating more recovery-friendly workplaces.

Training on the Recovery-Friendly Workplace curriculum will be provided.

Position Summary

Peer Facilitators serve as ambassadors for Impact Life by delivering Recovery-Friendly Workplace education sessions that increase awareness of substance use disorders, reduce stigma, and promote recovery-supportive workplace practices.

Working collaboratively with Impact Life staff, Peer Facilitators will deliver engaging educational presentations to employers and community organizations while helping foster environments that support individuals in recovery.

This is a flexible 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity with approximately 2–4 education sessions per month , based on organizational need and employer demand. The current contract term is anticipated to run through March 31, 2027 .

Essential Responsibilities

Deliver Recovery-Friendly Workplace education sessions to employers and community organizations throughout Delaware.

Facilitate engaging discussions focused on recovery, stigma reduction, and recovery-supportive workplace practices.

Present educational content in a professional, engaging, and interactive manner.

Represent Impact Life professionally within the community.

Coordinate scheduling and availability with Impact Life staff.

Complete any required documentation following education sessions.

Attend required onboarding, curriculum training, and periodic facilitator meetings.

Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries while representing Impact Life.
