Salary: $182/day

Job Summary

Pacific Channel Transportation is seeking a Fleet Dispatcher to expertly manage communication between our fleet, internal operations and customers. The perfect candidate excels at the ability to supervise and coordinate the movement of product from pick up to delivery in a prompt and efficient manner while communicating with drivers, operations staff and customers all while upholding exceptional customer service.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of our services exceeds our customers’ expectations.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work a day shift (5:00 AM - 3:00 PM).
  • Desire to provide drivers and customers with excellence in service.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills are a must.
  • Must be willing and able to work well in a team environment.
  • A competitive and career-oriented mindset.
  • Coordinating all driver activities in a fluid and changing environment.
  • Managing inbound and outbound freight flow.
  • Implementing delivery routes for drivers.
  • Provide excellent customer service by monitoring shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Data entry and data management.
  • Support drivers with in-transit issues
  • Effective communication with company operations personnel to build strong and trusting relationships both internally and with the customer base.
  • Effectively follow and inform all related parties of internal operating procedures.
  • Processing multiple calls simultaneously from internal as well as external customers.
  • Ownership of all communication regarding changes that impact internal and external customers.
  • Various reporting on production, quality, timeliness, staffing, maintenance, and discrepancies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Clean Background.
  • Qualified candidates are self-motivated, with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, responsible, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, all with a positive attitude.
