Paramedic Part-Time Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue in Fort Worth, TX 76104.
Work hours: 2x shifts per week part-time, 7:00AM-7:00PM and includes rotating weekends and holidays.
Here's What You Need Education High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Experience Three (3) months recent Paramedic experience or completion of a Paramedic Internship is required.
One (1) year of Paramedic experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic upon hire required
LP - Licensed Paramedic Upon Hire required
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire required
Skills Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast paced environment, positive interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, able to perform basic computer skills.
What You Will Do Accountability/Basic Human Needs Responds to others' priorities regarding privacy, confidentiality, safety, physical, psychological, cognitive, religious and social needs; incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care; engages family/caregivers in health care situations; uses mutual problem solving and exhibits professional behaviors that help patients and families understand how to confront, learn about, and think about their health and illness; Performs technical skills that are adapted to reflect the population-specific, developmental and diversity needs of the patient.
Teamwork Communicates and collaborates with all members of the health care team; Shared Decision Making Actively participates in the Shared Governance model at unit, entity, and/or system level; actively engages in finding solutions for unit, division and/or entity concerns or issues; understands, promotes, and values evidence-based practices, quality improvement, and/or research, and utilizes them in practice; follows guidelines and recommendations defined by regulatory or professional practice agencies. Provides daily care that achieves outcome targets for core measures, NPSG, employee satisfaction, patient satisfaction, NDNQI and other unit/organizational metrics; incorporates ethical principles from the Texas Department of State Health Services EMT Code of Ethics.
